Functional office furniture for hands on executives

The primary function of executive office furniture is no longer to make a grand entrance or impression.  While for certain industries such as advertising and marketing it may be deemed necessary to imply wealth by means of the grand work environment.  This would include the prerequisite mile long walnut rectangular desk and for the complete office suite it would include cherry finish credenzas.  With millions of this type of unit still being sold worldwide, no doubt doctors, lawyers and the occasional Indian chief tend to prefer this design face.  But today’s true upper level manager is an active worker contributing in creativity to every facet of his or her business.

Hence we now see executive office furniture being designed with more emphasis placed on telemetry and ease of movement vis a vis ergonomics.  This means the traditional black leather executive office chair has been slightly altered to include ergonomic elements such as lumbar support and X and Y axis adjustments.  The desk of today’s modern executive is preferably created with rounded corners and almost in the Jetsons style completely encompasses management, so that the corresponding easy movement swivel chair allows that same exec to reach without any strained muscle extension.
